Kootenai County Community Development will be at the North Idaho State Fair to connect with residents and gather public input as the County continues work on its Comprehensive Plan Update and Parks & Waterways Plan.
Community Development planners will be available at the County’s booth in Building 1 to discuss the future of Kootenai County and hear directly from residents. Staff will be available to answer questions and gather input on topics such as managing growth, protecting the community’s quality of life, and ensuring future development and public facilities reflect the needs and priorities of residents.
The Comprehensive Plan and Parks & Waterways Plan will help guide decisions about future growth, land use, parks, recreation, waterways, and other important community priorities. Public participation is an essential part of the planning process, and residents are encouraged to stop by the County’s booth, ask questions, share ideas, and provide feedback.

The fair provides an excellent opportunity for us to meet residents where they are, listen to their ideas, and hear directly from the community.”
